  • Sinatra: THE Classy singer!

I grew up listening to my parents play the cassette tapes of Frank Sinatra on our small radio, and I liked how smooth and beautiful the music goes with Sinatra's Strong and amazing voice. This album gives you all you need to enjoy Frank Sinatra. It's his best of the best, an album you will not regret.

Frank Sinatra is no doubt one the very best performers to have ever lived. No doubt Sinatra will always be one of the few to be known by the World, his hits like "Bewitched", "Luck Be a Lady", "Witchcraft" and so many more have kept him here. The Centennial Collection is well worth the 40 bucks

Other labels take notice, this is how you do a boxed set. Cross licensed to include every single and a sample from every album. The songs are sequenced by style over chronology to keep the music fresh. The mastering is as well done as the recent single disc hits collections and the number of tracks and the price make this set in it’s entirety worth owning. Some of Frank’s Columbia recordings are used in place of his later stereo re-recordings like “I’m A Fool To Want You” which is fine with me, the stereo remasters are available here on iTunes if so desired. Franks return to Capital for his final studio projects “The Duet’s” aren’t here and again those songs are available elsewhere and they were re-recordings of his catalog anyway, this set catches Frank in his prime.
  • Ultimate Sinatra: An Informal College Course

"In Sinatra we do not see just one man...we see every man." - Unknown Frank and I have been friends for over 10 years; I started listening to him with my grandparents who helped me stay endeared me to him. Nothing But The Best (2008) was my first album, and I have tried to keep a good relationship with him ever since. Frank was truly The Entertainer of the 20th Century, because his array of albums appealed to everyone; lovers, losers, and everyone else. If there was a college course taught on Frank (and I no doubt hope that someday that comes true), this would be the album they would use. The selection of all 100 tracks (including the gem of "Surrey With A Fringe On Top") gives the listener insight into his beginning with Tommy Dorsey in 1939 with All or Nothing At All, and finally tracing his career until the 1980s (possibly 1990s). The price might seem much (and this will sound a bit cliche), but if you only buy 1 album of Frank get this one. You won't regret it. Happy Birthday Frank.
