Unlike most who love or hate the album, I'm in the middle. However I'm surprised I don't see any mentions of the highlights of the album. "What If?" is an amazing song, bar far the best on the CD in my opinion. The title track is also a great music, one of the few instumental tracks I love. I still wish they would have added just a little vocals to it without ruining it. If you gave up on this after hereing Cryin' and Whiskey Hangover, definitely check out What If? and Oracle.

This cd is amazing. There isn't a bad song on it. Any one who likes to rock won't be disappointed. They are probably the best at what they do. This cd just shows that.

  • Kinda disappointing and boring

I've been a huge godsmack fan since day 1, and I honestly have to say I'm disappointed with this album, when their last album godsmack IV came out I was at first disappointed but grew to love it, I felt it was an evolution in the sheer musicianship and instrumentation to a level beyond what they previously had. So when I heard this album it took me aback, I loved it at first but grew to almost hate it, it feels like they took a step back into territory they had already gone through and worn out (don't get me wrong I love old godsmack it still has some of my favorite songs) the drumming and bass guitar are still very solid but the guitar leaves something to be desired and I really hope they go back the direction they went on their last album.
  • Nicely done

Godsmack should go in a different direction. No matter how many times I'll listen to this, it just doesn't grow on me, so this is pretty much there worst album in my opinion. Sorry, Godsmack..I like all the other albums though, and 'The Oracle' isn't BAD, but like I said, I think it's safe to change the style of Godsmack, it doesn't always need to be HEAVY. Just go for straight rock or something, your getting a little dry and...uncreative (I say that because if I listen to this album from start to finish, it tends to sound like a 45 minute song.)
